The SoFun’2 school is focused on the design of materials with tailored properties and functions elaborated on the basis of soft matter. It will therefore focus on the elaboration techniques, on the characterizing methods, including scattering and electron microscopy, and on the theoretical aspects of soft matter. The school is mainly dedicated to young scientists (PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and young researchers) but is also open to all audience.
SoFun’2 school "Soft Matter for Functional Materials" will take place from September 17th to 19th, 2018 in the Aerocampus of Latresne (close to Bordeaux, France).
All participants will be accommodated in the Aerocampus of Latresne. All the participants will have the opportunity to present their work during a flash oral presentation.
SoFun’2 school is an ideal initiation to approach all the topics that will be discussed during the Self-Assembly of Colloidal Systems conference (SACS’18), organized on the campus of Bordeaux from September 20th to 22nd, 2018. Specific registration fees are proposed for students who will attend the two events to encourage the participants to SoFun’2 School attending SACS’18.
The school is linked and largely funded by the cluster of excellence AMADEus - Advanced Materials by design. AMADEus performs project-oriented outstanding research and engineering at the frontier of knowledge for advanced materials.
